So , You've Purchased Item Upgrades ... Now What?

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The feature of upgrading items allows players to upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.

Generally upgrades increase an items main stats and provide additional benefits based on the type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.

Armour

Armour is one of the most important factors that keep Link protected from injury in all situations. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in different ways to improve its defence capabilities.

Armour is designed to safeguard people or animals from harm or injury from direct physical attack or from a variety of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, armour was typically constructed from leather or fabric, but later metal protections were used as well, especially in military applications such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.

As with weapons there are a variety of ways in which armour can be upgraded, but the majority of them require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain comes with its own degree of upgrades available and more will provide higher levels of protection, but require a higher price in rupees and other materials to unlock.

First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been put in place and removed, they cannot be reverted until you own a different piece of gear with the same upgrade. You should only apply the most advanced upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have all the components needed to complete them.

You can find the upgrade components you need in many places around Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. They'll usually be identified with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol and are available in large numbers as you progress through the game. Although they can appear randomly, there's a chance that obtaining certain upgrade components will result in an adventure that rewards you with more.

It is also important to note that even though the amount of protection offered by each upgrade is different however, it's the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a complete set of upgraded armor will provide you with a substantial defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks, excluding magic, making it a powerful tool for any class.

Weapons

You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades to make them truly unique. They can boost damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your specific build, and even unlock new attachments such as unique enchantments, ammo types, and aesthetic options.

You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be at or near a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons only take one upgrade.

You can find weapons upgrade components scattered throughout the world and from the hands of enemies or purchased from merchants. Upgrade components are made up of ingredients that you can incorporate into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and other items in order to gain an attribute bonus. They require equipment to be of a certain level to allow the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.

The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they are used for enhancing the stats of the base weapon and enhancing its scale with other stats. They can be found among enemies who drop them in the open, bought from a few merchants, or obtained through drops during combat.

Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.

It's important to prioritize upgrading your most-used items first, followed by those you won't be replacing in the near future. If you're planning to play an asymmetrical build, for example, upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders before your hands and feet. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some procs may be better than others based on the style of play you prefer. Armour is no different, with some refining better than others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one magic item at a time. If an upgrade plan is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for that item will not begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but they can offer other benefits.

A magical item could be any item with special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, however some include armor, shields and cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings, and other items. Certain of these items can be made to speak.

Most magic items can be enhanced in their abilities. This makes them more useful for a player, or it can aid them in overcoming an especially difficult challenge. A weapon infused with a special substance might offer, for instance, additional damage against a specific enemy type. This is particularly useful for those who have reached the point where they are likely to encounter a particular kind of monster over and over again in dungeons.

A ring that is infused with magic could grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon or pierce or cut (excluding silvered attacks) until the character gets another long rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee martial characters or any other character who would like to save the hassle and expense of buying an armor.

Certain items enchanted by magic have special powers which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on their class's list of spells. This is useful for characters who have trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the amount of Intelligence points expended.

item upgrades  that are enchanted can permit the character's appearance to change or create a completely new one. These items can be especially beneficial for characters who are forced to leave their home, or are located in an area that they might not be welcomed. A magical item could provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to everyone other than a selected person.

Utility Items

Utility items are equipment that do not fit into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons and offer a range of different capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons and Clothing, no utility item will be in conflict with the other. The majority of utility items come with a passive effect that players can activate by using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button or activating the skill.

Generally speaking, the most popular type of utility item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while moving and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can create instantly a variety of utility items, while others are only available through research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness.

The majority of utilitarian items provide the player with an advantage in navigation or enhance a specific combat ability. For instance, Sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman increase the power of concentration and healing. Other utility items can be used by the player to increase Damage or Condition Damage.

XCOM soldiers can equip a single utilitarian item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available once you have completed certain research, engineering or experiments on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots are available by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This allows players to use a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade is kept in the main slot.
